JOURNAL TOPIC: [today's tunes: "Freedom of Choice" by Devo; "Freewill" by Rush]

  1. Here is the link for alt key codes courtesy of Penn State (http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/accents/codealt.html) As for using it on phones I have no idea, but this method and list works well for computers!

    1. On iPhones you can hold down on the "e" button until a small menu of accented "e's" pop up.

  2. The HTML format for an accented "e" is & e acute ; without the spaces (I had to write it like that or the only explanation that would appear would be é). I found this information on the second page of this pdf file.

  3. Just adding to my earlier post so that the link actually works. When using these you have to hold the alt button and from there use the number pad on the side of your laptop or computer.

  4. The "e" in résumé should be accented with the French accent aigu (acute). The code for this accent and others can be found at this website.

  6. On iMacs and Macbooks you can make these accented letters (é,ô,à,ñ,ü, and more) by holding the "Option" key down then pressing the letter of choice. If you want a capital accented letter just hold the "Option" and "Shift" key, then push the letter of choice.
